Dr Aswin Padmanaban
Dr Aswin Padmanabhan is an Interventional Radiologist and endovascular specialist with over 5 years experience. His goal is to increase public and patient awareness of the minimally-invasive, safe and effective treatment options offered by Interventional Radiology. This ensures patients have a choice between conventional surgical treatments and modern non-surgical minimally invasive alternatives. Interventional Radiology helps patients to return to enjoying their normal lives with minimal hospital stay.Dr Aswin completed his medical graduation from Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute Trichur, Kerala .
After completing his internship at Jubilee Mission Medical College, he graduated as the top student at Guwahati Medical College, Assam. Further he pursued subspeciality in Interventional Radiology at the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore, affiliated with Dr. MGR Medical University in Chennai. He worked as a consultant at CMC vellore for two years before returning to kerala.
He set up the Interventional Radiology unit at Government Medical College, Kottayam in Kerala. Within a span of two years the department grew significantly. He does one of the largest numbers of endovascular treatments of Intracranial Aneurysms in the state of kerala. His expertise spans across the treatment of stroke, Aneurysm, cancer care, fibroids, liver, venous disease. He relocated to kochi with his family in 2023 and now he works at Medical Trust Hospital, Ernakulam, kerala.
Dr. Aswin is active in the training and assessment of junior doctors. He has been faculty and taught numerous courses and has presented at conferences .Dr. Aswin has worked and learned from experts in the treatment of fibroids, prostate disease, varicose veins, and cancer.
In his public and private practices, Dr. Aswin offers high-quality individualized care which takes into account your concerns and wishes, as opposed to the ‘one size fits all’ many patients have experienced. He believes that genuine team-work across medical specialists and primary care results in the best outcomes for patients.
